Statement

Born and raised in Osaka. Since she was a child She has been reading a lot of books and she was a child who always wanted to be in a library. For her, a library was a treasure house of imagination and a door to another world. When she was a student she was in contemporary dance club. Thanks to her dance teacher she could know how much fun to convey was. After graduating from collage though she got a job with an apparel company she could not change her mind that she wanted to be an artist or creator. Then she left the company and entered an art school at Osaka. In there she learned that she got rid of a fixed idea. After moving to Tokyo she had been painting alone for decades. During that time she got many inspirations from books and her trip. Particularly the book, "Also Sprach Zarathustra" written by Nietzsche gave a lot of inspiration to her. She thought about flowing time which came from time immemorial and long history of thought and philosophy. Therefore she thought that she wanted to convey like that. Those days her motif was a white ribbon whose meanings were neutral and chaos.

She wants to know "Who am I?" "Where does this world come from?" "Where are we going?" "What is nature universe and human beings?" While she has been working in her studio she is completely free, feeling like she is from a part of nature and universe. In her studio she is looking for her way to convey as if she were a scientist in a laboratory. For a long time she has worked on canvas with oil. But now she uses layer of sheet of glasses and makes two dimensional works. These works have mysterious depths and floating feelings. These works have viewer perceive narrative scenes and poems. It’s beyond the expression on canvas she believes. And she believes the process enable her to convey something atrractive unlimitedly.

Our life time is limited and knowledge we can get is a little. She will have been going on making her works as if philosophers were going on writing books, scientists were going on looking for an unknown thing, explorers were going on looking for an unknown place.
